New Species

Academic project, residential site located in Toronto. Using selected case studies, a new structure will be created which borrows and imporves on the characteristics of the precedents. These concepts come together to construct a new building typology to solve the following directives:

Contextural Connections: How does the project blend with its density into the neighbourhood?

Overall Legibility: Can the new typology be clearly identified while retaining original DNA?

Spacial Environments: How does the new environment benefit the inhabitants in comparison to old?

Density: What is the argument the new typology makes for density?
